# (Required Reading) Functional Description of BMW Series LCD Instrument Clusters
1. This instrument cluster does not support real-time traffic information display for any country or region.
2. Functions not factory-equipped on the original vehicle (including G-force, altitude, ambient temperature, etc.) are unavailable. It is also impossible to display engine oil temperature via the hidden menu.
3. The 2 Series, X1, X2 and X3 feature different fuel tank capacities, requiring separate fuel tank parameter configurations. Products are shipped with factory default settings. Please contact our customer service if the fuel level reading is inaccurate after receipt.
4. For E90 vehicles fitted with the original CCC system central control display, some European versions may encounter screen display malfunctions after installation. This issue can be resolved by reconnecting the original instrument cluster and resetting the language setting once again.
5. Vehicle diagrams for each model are being added progressively. You may use the M logo temporarily meanwhile.
6. Exclusive instrument themes for the M Series have been fully developed. Existing customers please contact customer service to obtain the update package.
7. The HUD adapter has strict standardized installation procedures. Customers who purchase this adapter must get detailed operation guidelines from customer service before placing the order and starting installation.
8. There is no data exchange between this instrument cluster and the original infotainment host; only one set of CarPlay can be connected at a single time. The CarPlay on this dashboard only displays navigation images and does not transmit audio signals.
If you only have one mobile phone and wish to view navigation via CarPlay on the dashboard while playing phone music simultaneously, follow these steps: connect CarPlay to the dashboard first, then pair your phone’s Bluetooth with the original central control screen to play music over the Bluetooth channel.
9. Mileage data recorded after installing the new dashboard remains stored in the original vehicle ECU. The accumulated mileage will not show up when you reinstall the factory original dashboard. You need to consult a local professional automotive programmer to complete database matching.

## Step-by-Step Operation Guide
A: After connecting CarPlay to our instrument cluster, you can view the CarPlay navigation map directly on the dashboard while driving.
B: To play audio from mobile music apps (e.g., Apple Music) through the car speakers, simply pair your phone’s Bluetooth with the original infotainment screen and play music via the Bluetooth connection.

## Supplementary Explanation of CarPlay Working Principle
Bluetooth for wireless CarPlay only handles pairing and authentication; actual data transmission relies on the phone’s Wi-Fi module. Accordingly, the Bluetooth channel stays idle once CarPlay is successfully connected, and it can be paired with other devices for additional use.
